La Bul, an Italian and seafood restaurant in Bari, consistently impresses visitors with its refined approach to fine dining, particularly through its tasting menus that showcase creative and well-executed dishes. Guests appreciate the thoughtful wine selection, often highlighting local offerings expertly paired with meals. While the ambiance may be understated, the attentive service and personalized touches from the staff, including sommelier recommendations and tableside preparations, enhance the overall experience. Some feedback notes a desire for a more memorable or standout element in the cuisine, but the combination of quality food, reasonable pricing for a Michelin-style setting, and welcoming atmosphere positions La Bul as a noteworthy destination for those seeking authentic regional flavors with sophistication.

I had a great evening at La Bul in Bari, Italy, opting for the chef's surprise tasting menu. The food, while very good, lacked that wow factor—creative and fresh, yet missing the mark on creating lasting memories. The wine selection, featuring many local options, was a strong point, but the service, while pleasant, didn't quite reach the level of excellence found in comparable fine dining establishments.

La Bul is a Michlene style restaurant when you choose a pre-made course (5 or 7 portions). I chose 5, and I liked everything (except the calamry black ink portion). The place itself is nothing special, but this is usually the case with Michlene (style) restaurants. If you're into good food and reasonable pricing (again, comparing to a 1-star Michelene type restaurant), don't miss LA Bul!

This is our 4th time here in one month of our august vacation. Our first time was amazing, food , atmosphere , the attentiveness of the waiters Giuseppe’s and of the chef Antonio Scalera, so we definitely had to come back. There’s also Sommelier Vito for excellent recommendations.

What a fabulous way to end my stay in Bari! It doesn't look much from the outside but inside is a whole other story! The food was amazing. Such a variety of tastes and textures and so well thought out and executed. The chef even finished a couple of dishes at the table. The service, both food and wine, was also fabulous and the wine matching (and descriptions) perfect. Thank you to every who made my night so unforgettable. Even the table of incredibly loud and disrespectful Americans at the next table couldn't put a dampener on this one!

We had a great dinner with three friends. It was a calm Wednesday evening but didn’t bother. Food was awesome, wines combined nicely and the service very good and comfortable.

I had dinner in this restaurant month ago. We chosed for eight course chef’s menu, and it was delicious. Started with some bites with caviar and nice selection of local bread. Every course came as a surprise, there were first three courses of raw fish dishes, then perfectly cooked risotto in fish sauce, then pasta with red prawns and truffle, duck with foie gras and steak, ended with light tiramisu dessert. The atmosphere was nice, we dined in the garden, interior gave vibe of old soul’s presence in the restaurant. Service was excellent, waiter and sommelier were attentive and took good care of us. I truly recommend this place.

Extraordinary restaurant in Bari and a great dining experience. It’s in the City centre and easy to reach. The restaurant has a very welcoming atmosphere - it’s more like sitting in a very tastefully furnished living room, although some of the nice looking chairs could be hard to sit on on a full evening The food is excellent, we had the fish based menu and enjoyed every course. Staff is super attentive and very knowledgeable. Wine menu is great with excellent whites and a very skilled sommelier. This is a strong recommendation.
